A Defeat Prepares You for Your Next Victory!

I meant to post this earlier today but my day got away from me. Plus I had actually experienced my statement today! I have been applying for scholarships, grants for school and for my business for weeks now. And it just seems I keep getting Decline after No after Decline after a No. I have been feeling frustrated, disappointed, upset and just plain ole disgusted! But I just kept feeling in my spirit to keep going! Although I haven't received an Approved or a Yes yet! LOL! I have learned to zip through the applications now and I have all of my information at my fingertips and in my brain to complete these forms in less than 15 minutes verses two days when I was trying to figure it all out! LOL!

So with that said I know "A Defeat Prepares You for Your Next Victory!" I never would have imagined getting my first week of No and Decline would propel me to keep going and basically master filling out grants and loans. So next on my plate to tackle is grant writing for my Phyllis Hyman tribute album recording, documentary and live concert recording. This has been a dream of mine for the last 8 years and not its time to NIKE! If anyone knows of grants for preserving the musical legacy of a deceased Rhythm and Blues/Jazz/Broadway recording and live performance artist let me know!
