Diva's Diamonds by Queen Diva Returns!

Greetings, PINK Diamonds! 

I'm baccckkk! LOL! I know I said that a year ago and disappeared! LOL! I'm so sorry so much has happened since September 12, 2025! I moved back to NYC. I am continuing on my PhD-ED program at National University, Sanford College of Education, with a concentration in Curriculum and Teaching. I love my Curriculum and Teaching coursework! Now I am learning about the research process for my dissertation requirements. I have been battling "Imposter Syndrome" for the last 6 years while I have been on this academic journey! Oh my goodness! I am proud to be appointed a 2026 National University Brand Ambassador this year! Yay! I have been maintaining a 3.97 GPA since I started in July 2024! I just received the word today that I made the Winter 2026 Dean's List. It has been an amazing experience, and I am right at the beginning stages of my dissertation process. 

                                                                                     

Once I moved to NYC, I have been adjusting to living back in the "Big Apple!" I absolutely love living here. I came here when it was just about to get into winter, and what a winter it was in Winter '25! I have not been around snow in years!! It was -8 degrees, and there was so much snow on the ground that many people had to shovel their cars out to get to work! Oh My! The snow was so beautiful! I had not seen snow in 6 years!

Now it's Spring 2026!! It's so lovely in NYC! The cherry blossoms are so gorgeous! I don't remember seeing so much beauty in NYC. This is because, years prior, I was always ripping and running around the city doing this and that, most days, without any structure or purpose. LOL! That's a shame. But at other times, I was so consumed with trying to figure out how to succeed that I got lost in a cycle of always giving and never receiving. But that has all changed now!

Kisses in the Dark by Queen Diva

I released a new R&B/Vintage Soul single called "Kisses in the Dark" on February 15, 2026, well, actually almost a month later on March 6, 2026, because I had administrative issues with my distributors. I went from one distributor to another. I have received some lovely and critical reviews. LOL! I love it! I wanted each person who reviewed my so to be honest and tell me why they loved it or didn't. It is out now on all digital music outlets and streaming services! I would love your thoughts on my song! Please support indie artists!

I was appointed the Inaugural 2026 RBPSOC Global Ambassador for the Rhythm and Blues Preservation Society in March 2026, during Women's History Month, to help share the mission of preserving Black music, one record at a time. It is such an honor for me to serve in this capacity because I have such a passion for preserving Black music history and culture for the world.

Lastly, I have the amazing opportunity to return to Broadway at the Tony Award-winning venue 54 Below during Suicide Prevention Month to perform my Strength of a Woman: A Phyllis Hyman Tribute on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 9:30 pm. I am so excited to share my favorite songs recorded by the Legendary Phyllis Hyman again. It's been six years since the last time I performed off-Broadway and to return to Broadway after all of these years is truly a blessing.

I have committed to writing on this blog once a week, and "Thankful Thursdays" seems like a great day for me to share words to inspire, empower, and encourage the world to shine resplendently!
